800 Square KM Management Unit

With an 800 square kilometer bear management unit & hundreds of miles of logging roads, Bear Paw Lodge is the perfect location for your next Canadian Black Bear Hunt. Most of the logging roads in the area are passable with light trucks or ATV's making for great accessibility to prime black bear habitat. The Lodge features a bear shed with large stainless steel table with running water, a hanging aparatus for dressing out, and usually 2 bait sites per registered hunter. Let the hunt begin!

Caribou Lake, Ontario's Premier Fishing Destination.

With over 40 thousand acres of water and 2,800 miles of shoreline, Caribou Lake can give even the most seasoned fishermen the thrill of a lifetime. Due to our remote location in Ontario, Caribou Lake has many walleye with lengths up to 32 inches, and many northern pike are caught in the 40 inch range every year. Caribou Lake is also fairly rare in that it is a naturally reproducing habitat for Lake Trout. Caribou Lake is very deep in spots, with some areas reaching 250 feet in depth. Looking for trout? There's no shortage of them in these areas. In the Spring, they can even be caught in 15 feet of water or less.

Nature at its finest, Lets try to keep it that way.

800 Square kilometers is a very large area. In this area you will see some pretty amazing land structure and water ways. From large cliffs overlooking a lake to miles and miles of wetlands tied to countless creeks and rivers, all of which see very little human traffic. Its also not uncommon to come across wild life while exploring the lakes and forest in the area. Its important to remember that we want to do as little damage as possible while exploring this wilderness. Trying to keep waste to a minimum is always a really good start. We encourage people to bring reusable water bottles rather then bottled water. The water in the lodge is completly safe to drink and is kept clean by our resident Ontario Certified Water Systems Operator. We also sport a very large solar array that powers the entire camp and minimizes fuel usage, and although we have blue boxes at each cabin for recycling, we still encourage customers to reduce the amount of single use plastics being used while here.
